Linux System Administrator

Key Role:

Serve as a Red Hat Linux systems administrator and maintain responsibility for the daily operations and maintenance of unclassified and classified IT systems. Maintain responsibility for SA engineering, operations and support, maintenance, and research and development to ensure continual operation. Work as part of a dynamic team to keep systems maintained and optimized through daily, weekly, and monthly patching, upgrades, and tuning when system maintenance is required. Perform day-to-day operations and interface with clients to support system operations. Contribute to and maintain operations documentation, including configuration data, change requests, installation procedures, knowledge base articles, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), engineering diagrams, and test plans. Install new or rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage in accordance with standards and project or operational requirements. Contribute to and maintain security posture of the system in accordance with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), CTOs, and IAVM policies.


Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with local and wide area networks, workstation or personal computer installation and maintenance, or operation of application computer networks

-Experience with computer security requirements to Secure Internet Protocol Routing Network (SIPRNET)

-Experience with networking and information technology (IT) and current Cybersecurity guidelines, procedures, and processes

-Active Secret clearance

-HS diploma or GED

-Current DoD 8570.01-M - IAT Level II Certifications required
