Logistics Analyst

Key Role:

Provide logistics analysis to the Headquarters, US Marine Corps (HQMC) installations and logistics client. Develop recommendations to improve business practices for material management, equipment and distribution visibility, materiel readiness, and all other aspects of life cycle integrated logistics support. Coordinate logistics activities internal to the DoD and HQMC and with external stakeholders, including Marine Forces and supporting establishment. Identify risk mitigation strategies for current and future Marine Corps logistics challenges and assist the client with the development of policies that result in improved global asset visibility. Provide program management support, prepare presentations, reports, and status input for a multi-million-dollar contract, and make recommendations to executive-level leadership. Analyze the development of project plans and schedules for a multitude of tasks and overlapping work streams. Take a leadership role in generating intellectual capital to grow business.

Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience with logistics or logistics policy within the US Marine Corps

-Experience as an HQMC Action Officer

-Experience with the Marine Corps Planning Process (MCPP)

-Experience with developing, creating, and delivering detailed reports and presentations to senior-level leadership

-Knowledge of the priorities established in the Marine Corps Installations and Logistics Roadmap (MCILR), Marine Corps Logistics IT Portfolio Strategy, and the Marine Corps Operating Concept (MOC)

-Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with proposal writing a plus

-Ability to effectively interact with senior executives from government, industry, and intelligence community staff members

-Ability to be self-directed, detail-oriented, and adapt to changing work efforts and manage shifting priorities

-Ability to be available for occasional travel, between 5-7 days per year

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
