Long Range Planner

Key Role:

Coordinate and plan with the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) in organizing meeting schedules from multiple stakeholder organizations, document agenda items, track and ensure action items are making forward progress from multiple participants, and deconflict overall activities. Support research and provide topic analysis related to JSWF and SCWG activities. Coordinate and participate in any initial, mid-term, and final planning conferences that require J5 support. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with client staff to support steady-state operations, crisis action planning, and communications. The position is located at Vandenberg AFB, CA with possible transition to SAFB CO.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with working in the DoD as a military, civilian, or contractor in a Joint or combined HQ, major command, or higher headquarters

-Experience with developing command senior leader prep packages

-Experience with integrating capabilities across geographic and functional Combatant Commands and various governmental agencies and organizations

-Experience with writing operations plans and orders

-Knowledge of Joint staffing functions and action

-Ability to manage planning efforts for multiple events simultaneously

-TS/SCI clearance required

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Ability to work with small and medium sized teams

-Possession of excellent problem-solving, customer service, and organization skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
