Medical Benefits and Reimbursement Research Analyst

Key Role:

Provide research and consulting support in the development of new medical benefit policies, focused emerging technologies and value based health care. Support background and information research regarding emerging technologies, including researching on provider types, reviewing procedural and other coding issues, development of issue papers, policy manual changes, recommendations, and other documents. Support creation and development of executive summaries, decision papers, proposed and final rules, presentations and other decision-making materials. Participate in workgroups, review of reimbursement strategies for new and emerging technologies, project and program management support focused on document drafting, review, including planning and scheduling workgroups and meetings.


Basic Qualifications:

-Experience in developing, reviewing, and analyzing health care policy, academically and professionally

-Knowledge of health care procedural terminology

-Experience in research design and methodologies including statistical analysis, academically and professionally

-Ability to work constructively and effectively in a team-based environment

-BA or BS degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, biostatistics, mathematics, statistics, health care policy, public health, nursing or health informatics


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with commercial or federal health plans or health systems

-Knowledge of current trends in health care delivery systems

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent organizational skills

-Public Trust clearance

-MS degree degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, biostatistics, mathematics, statistics, health care policy, public health, nursing, or health informatics
