Meeting Services Coordinator, Mid

Key Role:

Support the McLean conference center facilities, teams, and conference participants. Provide traditional concierge support, including answering phones, greeting guests, maintaining an inventory of all office supplies and kitchen supplies, and communicating material orders to external vendors. Provide scheduling assistance and coordinate with the audio-visual team to ensure overall client satisfaction. Provide logistical support to events in the conference center, including setting up and changing meeting room configurations as per meeting schedules and moving and store furniture. Straighten or maintain rooms between meetings and maintain the professional appearance of the entire conference center at all times. Greet clients or staff at the start of each meeting, keep a daily log of additional client requests, and provide direct client service, including creating or maintaining room setup diagrams, participating in pre-conference meetings, and conducting phone or e-mail confirmations daily. Work on other administrative tasks, as assigned or required.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience in a customer service setting within a professional environment

-1+ years of experience with meeting or conference management, including overseeing logistics for event management
-Experience with all Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

-Ability to work well in a structured and unstructured environment, be a self-starter, and work well under pressure and manage time well with little supervision

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including business acumen

-Active Top Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree
