Meteorology and Oceanographic Readiness Analyst

Key Role:

Support the client’s training-pillar readiness reporting for the Navy’s Meteorology and Oceanographic Commands. Serve as a subject matter expert in personnel and training readiness metrics analysis, capabilities-based analysis, and Mission Essential Task analysis. Apply expertise with the Defense Readiness Reporting System - Navy and comprehend the mechanics of programming in the Navy Training Information Management System. This position will require travel throughout the continental US and overseas up to 25% of the time.

Basic Qualifications:

-10 years of experience in working with meteorology and oceanographic operations

-3+ years of experience with Navy meteorology and oceanography

-3 years of experience with afloat and ashore, including terrestrial and satellite communications systems

-3 years of experience in working with Navy or Joint meteorology programs

-Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

-Ability to work effectively as an independent analyst that can covey complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences

-Active Secret clearance required

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-2 years of experience with developing Joint or Navy Warfare Training Plans

-Experience with SharePoint and lessons learned processes

-Ability to tailor a curriculum and teach courses to a diverse group

-Possession of excellent analytical problem-solving skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-TS/SCI clearance preferred

-BS degree preferred
