Meteorology Training and Exercise Analyst

Key Role:

Apply knowledge of how to organize diverse groups to build shared comprehension of complex challenges and facilitate collective problem-solving, analysis, and implementation of new solutions and best practices. Work with clients to monitor and review the systematic activities implemented in an organizational system so that mission requirements for a product or service will be fulfilled. Contribute on the corresponding data analysis to design relevant, accurate, and realistic exercise materials that result in improved organizational mission performance. Deliver exercise events that allow clients to discuss process initiatives and confirm viability or events that allow clients to physically practice and execute processes to confirm efficiency and comprehension of performance and output expectations.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience as a planner, including analyzing the planning of processes and exercise products

-Knowledge of meteorology and oceanographic operations policies, key objectives and doctrines

-Ability to work independently, participate as a member of a team to plan, develop, and write exercise scenarios, assist with the implementation and execution of exercises, and assist with all aspects of exercise development

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

-Fleet Weather Forecaster Certification

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with the information warfare (IW) field

-Knowledge of exercise planning process and documentation

-Ability to travel 20-25%, including occasional international travel

-Top Secret clearance

-MA or MS degree in Meteorology or Oceanography with emphasis on Anti-Submarine Warfare

-Fleet Forecaster, Exercise Planner, or Operational Planner Certification
