Military Active Directory Administrator

Key Role:

Provide Windows Active Directory and Group Policy administration to a Navy client's Programs of Record (PORs) applications and managed IT systems within a service-oriented architecture (SOA). Maintain multiple operating systems and applications individually and as part of a team. Monitor server performance daily, including communicating and reporting incident responses to Navy CIO staff effectively. Manage and improve system performance and conduct regularly scheduled vulnerability remediation, upgrades, patching, and perform and analyze security evaluations. Troubleshoot, mitigate, and remediate system faults. Apply technical expertise in collaboration with other team members to develop requirements, identify tasking, manage progress, recognize, and report and remediate issues representing operational risk. Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems and solutions that are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organizational objectives. This position does not allow for remote delivery and requires the ability to work from the client site.

Basic Qualifications:
-2 years of experience in systems administration with Windows Active Directory and Group Policy
-Experience with Microsoft 2012 R2 or 2016 servers, including installing and maintaining applications, troubleshooting, reviewing logs, and patching
-Ability to build, configure, and maintain servers within compliance standards
-Secret clearance

-HS diploma or GED
-Navy Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) Baseline Certification, including CompTIA Security+

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with systems administration for DoD network systems, including Navy systems

-Experience with PowerShell scripting
-Knowledge of DoD security compliance auditing, DoD hardening, the risk management framework (RMF), security technical implementation guides (STIGs), and public key infrastructure (PKI)
-Knowledge of information security, including systems and network security best practices, documentation, and user authentication

-BA or BS degree in CS, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field

-Ability to obtain a Navy Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) Computing Environment Certification for a designated operating system
