Military Command Project Manager

Key Role:

Provide support to Marine Corps Installations Command (MCICOM). Apply advanced knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analyses and recommendations to improve organizational performance through changes to strategy, organization structure, process, human capital and culture, IT, enterprise cost reduction, management practices, and cost drivers. Identify and capitalize on opportunities to improve client performance, including revenue, profitability, and mission achievement and contribute to the process for improving operations and increasing process efficiency. Expand or reorganize a business unit or operation, examine complex systems, and advise on the development of specific cost reduction solutions and business case analyses to support transformation efforts. Mitigate and manage risk, conduct customer and stakeholder analyses, and provide oversight to a project. Serve as a practitioner with multiple areas of expertise that spans across management consulting pillars and other functional communities and provide leadership and mentoring to junior employees. Contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas, work on unusually complex problems, provide solutions that are highly creative, and act as a leader on large programs and projects that affect the organizations long–term goals and objectives.


Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with USMC projects or programs

-Experience with USMC Mission Essential Task Lists, capabilities gap analysis, readiness metrics, and related policy

-Knowledge of Marine Corps Installations Command (MCICOM) programs

-Ability to be self-sufficient and manage projects and deliverables

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Formal education in strategic thinking and planning, including a military Command and Staff College, War College, or equivalent
