Military Engineer, Senior

Key Role:
Develop system-engineered and cost-effective solutions to meet Navy warfighting requirements. Lead the integration of research and development, design, acquisition, construction, modernization, and life cycle management of naval systems. Design, engineer, and acquire of new combat or weapons systems, develop and acquire sonar, radar, and fire control systems, and construct, repair, and modernize surface ships and submarines at naval shipyards or supervisors of shipbuilding. Work on a technical direction for research, development, testing, and evaluation of ship structures, propulsion systems, and auxiliary systems and components. Design, develop, and evaluate the operation of marine vessels, ship machinery, and equipment, including power supply and propulsion systems. Conduct analytical, environmental, operational, or performance studies to develop designs for products, including marine engines, equipment, and structures, and conduct environmental, operational, or performance tests on marine machinery and equipment. Design and oversee testing, installation, and repair of marine apparatus and equipment. This position is located in Keyport, WA.

Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with the design, acquisition, construction, repair, maintenance, conversion, overhaul and disposal of ships, submarines, and aircraft carriers
-Experience with naval weapons, command and control, communications, and computers
-Knowledge of submarine and surface ship design and construction
-Knowledge of combat systems and combat systems integration
-Secret clearance
-MA or MS degree in Engineering

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience in a fleet liaison
-Top Secret clearance
-Submarine Qualification
