Military Readiness Exercise Planner/Assessor

Key Role:

Apply knowledge to assess military organizational deployment readiness in accordance with regulations and policy requirements. Work with clients to determine and assess operational deployment readiness requirements, including installation capability or capacity, deployment of military equipment, and the proper use of movement systems, including JOPES and TC-AIMS. Evaluate the proper air, land, and sea transportation of military equipment and hazardous materials, determine best practices, lessons learned, and make recommendations to changes in exercise deployment readiness policy and procedures, as required. Observe, assess, and evaluate the integration of command, control, planning, preparation, and execution of military support operations at the Corps and below levels. Analyze operational data and reports to ensure compliance with policy and directives.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with military tactical deployment planning as a transportation or movement planner
-Experience as a military exercise planner

-Experience with the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP), military plans, and operations orders

-Experience with Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and classified network systems

-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree and 10 years of experience with military planning

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience as a Transportation Mobility Officer, Warrant, or NCO
-Experience as a Joint exercise planner

-Experience in Corps, Army Service Component Command, or Army Command
-Knowledge of EDRE planning, policy, and regulations 

-Knowledge of Joint Operational Planning and Execution System (JOPES)
-Knowledge of the Army Message Handling System (AMHS)

-Ability to build relationships and communicate internally and externally to the organization effectively both orally and in writing

-Command and General Staff College Graduate, Battle Staff Course, or equivalent
