Military Submarine Warfare Planning Analyst

Key Role:

Serve as a US Navy expert with a concentration as an exercise planner and scenario developer for submarine force wargaming. Conduct client-directed planning and support to events, including detailed analysis of command objectives, developing exercise control design and architecture, facilitating and leading scenario development and execution, and providing post exercise analysis for future wargame development. Perform as a senior control scenario manager or in other key exercise control group roles during the planning and execution of command directed wargames. Supervise and assist with the development of Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) for joint exercises. Assist with the development of senior leader wargaming, including exercise design, execution of the event, and after-action reporting. 

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience in the USPACOM area of operations (AOR)

-2+ years of experience in the military with Joint or combined operations

-1+ years of experience with Joint or Combined exercise design and development

-Experience with scenario design in command post exercises (CPX)

-Experience with Joint or combined exercises

-Experience with Master Scenario Event List (MSEL)

-Knowledge of Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) processes and doctrine

-Ability to perform basic computer applications, including PC or Microsoft products and databases

-TS/SCI clearance

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with exercise development or facilitation

-Experience in After Action Review team participation or a leadership role

-Experience with program management

-Ability to be available for frequent travel and short term 24-hour operations

-MA or MS degree

-Completion of Joint Program Military Education (JPME)

-Graduate of a War College
