Missile Defense Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Lead and execute analytical tasks, including using techniques and processes for complex developmental and operational programs and teams developing and using tools, techniques, and processes for technical or administrative activities. Analyze threats to international partners and evaluate the impact of differences between US and International threat definitions. Review threat data packages (TDPs) and prepare assessments. Perform weapon system target signature, wake, debris, and countermeasure modeling and evaluate potential countermeasures, including CCMs. Support the preparation for transition from the engineering and manufacturing development phase to the production and deployment phase. Support the approval for fielding decision of weapons systems. Assess targets of opportunity (TOOs) to operate international assets in realistic scenarios and support battle management center (BMC) readiness.


Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with program analytical principles and practices for developmental and operational programs

-Experience with using, adapting, and developing analytic tools, techniques, and processes for technical or administrative support activities

-Experience with missile defense system engineering, including analysis of architecture and performance, weapon system design assessment, and international weapon system production and deployment schedules

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

-Ability to plan, coordinate, and support product development in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree and 15 years of experience with ballistic missile defense systems or MA or MS degree and 10 years of experience with ballistic missile defense systems


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with interacting and supporting high level government clients, including generating briefing and written products and presenting information at the executive level 

-Experience with post engagement effects and the KIDD model and foreign weapon system design assessment

-Knowledge of the various ballistic missile defense system upper and lower tier weapon systems

-Top Secret clearance preferred

-BS degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or CS
