Mission and Campaign Modeling and Simulation Analyst

Key Role:

Work with a team of analysts and software developers to support mission–level and campaign–level analyses of future weapon and platform concepts using applications built to be compatible with the Air Force Simulator (AFSIM) and Synthetic Theater Operations Research Model (STORM) frameworks. Model various types and combinations of kinetic and directed energy effects by using the Integrated Weapons Environment for Analysis (IWEA) model library. Perform in–depth investigations into the functional capabilities and operational constructs of the applications, focusing on the processes used in simulating the operation of High Energy Laser and High–Power Electromagnetics weapon systems, including weapon performance, propagation effects, target effects, and pose effects. Leverage domain knowledge of experienced analysts, developers, and warfighters. Help to support expansion of AFSIM capabilities and use for classified analyses.


Basic Qualifications:

-Experience in analytical or software development with engagement–, mission–, or campaign–level models or frameworks, including Brawler, Extended Air Defense Simulation (EADSIM), IWEA, AFSIM, Suppressor, or STORM

-Experience with composing documentation, analysis reports, and briefings

-Knowledge of one or more computer programming languages

-Ability to work in Windows and Linux command–line environments

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with military systems, including air platforms, weapons, and defensive systems and the integration and command and control of those forces

-Experience with configuration control tools

-Experience in coding with FORTRAN and C++

-Knowledge of High Energy Laser and High–Power Electromagnetics weapon systems, related sensor systems, weapon effects, and employment concepts

-Ability to summarize detailed findings or plans for informing client or firm leadership of the big picture

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Top Secret clearance preferred
