Mission Commands Networks and Live, Virtual, and Constructive Planner

Key Role:

Perform at Joint headquarters and combat training centers (CTC) and provide oversight and develop a multi-national readiness capability through strategic planning, training, and Joint or bi-lateral and multi-national exercises with partner nations and allies. Manage the analysis and organization of large amounts of data and present the data to higher-level command and oversee the JPMRC Instrumentation Training Analysis Computer Simulations and Support (ITACSS) section as it provides direct support to the CTC Modernization Training Support Systems (TSS) Enterprise functional tasking area. Provide support to an Infantry Brigade as USARPAC’s JPMRC operations group in the execution of instrumented and non-instrumented bi-lateral or multi-national training events. Maintain responsibility for exercise support experience staffing and surging combat training analysis, mission network and command, modeling and simulations, logistics, network systems, administrative assistance, and Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) support in an ITACSS section. Provide accurate and timely input to the rotation AAR and THP by collecting, analyzing, tabulating, summarizing both orally and in writing, formatting, and displaying various combat exercise information. Use the concepts, principles, and specifics of current US Army doctrine, CTC methodology, and the JPMRC-IS to enhance the training of USARPAC and PACOM units. Review rotational scenarios and formulate a data collection and scenario control plan and provide cues using voice communications or Mission Command Network Systems (MCNS) to assist the OC/T in scenario control and inputting of battlefield effects.


Basic Qualifications:

-12+ years of experience with the Army at the battalion, brigade, and division levels

-Experience with supporting military training and training support

-Experience with exercises at a CTC, MTC, or JPMRC

-Experience with using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

-Knowledge of the Army Combat Training Center program and methodology

-Knowledge of current Army maneuver doctrine

-Knowledge of the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) at the Brigade or higher level, training environments, Live, Virtual, Constructive and Gaming (LVC-G) technologies and concepts, and associated policies required

-Ability to create, apply, evaluate, and modify models and simulations in support of live exercises using LVC simulations data

-Secret clearance required

-Qualified as an onsite FA 57


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience at the Joint level a plus

-BA or BS degree preferred
