Mobility Systems Engineer

Key Role:

Join a team of communications and systems engineers supporting the development, acquisition, and management of communication-related systems within the DoD. Provide systems engineering support to multiple clients, apply knowledge of DoD systems engineering and architectural best practices, including expertise in ITIL, the Defense Enterprise Service Management Framework (DESMF) DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) views, systems engineering research, and requirements analysis or management for communications-based systems. Author systems engineering and acquisition documentation, including systems engineering plans, system description documents, requirements management plans, and architecture management plans. Work with a team of 2-10 colleagues to apply diverse skill sets towards developing client solutions. Work effectively with other members of the DoD community as a leader and member of technical working groups. Prepare documents and briefings for senior government leaders regarding technical and programmatic issues.


Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience in working with the IBM DOORs application

-5+ years of experience with technical writing

-3+ years of experience with project management for a technical effort, including schedule development or tracking, financial management, contract compliance, and identification of technical expertise required for the effort

-Knowledge of DoD and DoDIN integration

-Active Secret clearance

-BS degree or 12+ years of experience in an engineering field


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in working with the DoD community as a leader and member of technical working groups

-Ability to prepare documents and briefings for senior government leaders regarding technical and programmatic issues

-Ability to analyze systems engineering and acquisition documentation, including systems engineering plans, system description documents, requirements management plans, and architecture management plans


Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
