Modeling and Simulation Engineer

Key Role:

Provide network instrumentation and performance analysis support for large DoD enterprise networks using tools, including Wireshark and Riverbed and OPNET. Use a variety of tools and techniques to collect and analyze network and application traffic to assist with system troubleshooting and optimization. Develop end to end network monitoring and instrumentation strategy.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with Wireshark

-Knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP and Ethernet

-Knowledge of network routing and switching, including firewall and load-balancers

-Knowledge of modeling and simulation tools

-Knowledge of advanced statistical methods a plus

-Ability to analyze PCAP files and advanced network troubleshooting

-Secret clearance

-HS diploma or GED

​Additional Qualification:

-Experience with Netscout nGeniusOne, Riverbed NetProfiler, and Riverbed Steelcentral, preferred

-Experience with modeling and simulation, including Matlab, OPNET, and Qualnet preferred

-Experience with scripting languages, including Python

-Network+ and CCNA Certifications
