Modeling and Simulation Software Architect

Key Role:

Leverage expertise in modeling and simulation functions or operations with focus on the architecture and design of application solutions that contribute to live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) training and Joint Training Tools. Provide support to innovation efforts to modernize capabilities that are and will be used to deliver Joint training. Create software updates to convert functional and technical requirements into solutions. 


Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with Joint training LVC capabilities

-5+ years of experience with Tomcat, OpenAM, and OpenAJ for enabling Web applications

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

-DoD Manual 8570, 01–M for IAT I Certification, including Security+ required


Additional Qualifications

-Experience with DoD Cybersecurity policies, directives, DoD STIGs, and assessment tools

-Experience with the Run Time Infrastructure – Scaleable (RTI–S) and using it to enable interoperability among Joint training capabilities

-Experience with Service–Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Web services

-Experience with Python, Java, Ruby, and Jetty and using this software to enable interoperability among Joint training capabilities

-Experience with enabling Sencha, Chrome, Firefox, IE Web browsers to support the running of Web–enabled Joint training capabilities

-Experience with Linux RedHat and Windows to enable interoperability among Joint training capabilities

-Experience with GlassFish application for Java Enterprise development

-Experience with JIRA and Confluence database tools for requirements management

-Experience with Rabbit MQ

-Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Office

-Experience with command staff in the US Military and symbiology

-Experience with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution(ACAS) or Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP)

-Experience with GeoServer software in support of terrain services to support Joint Training capabilities

-Experience with creating, supporting, or executing DoD enterprise architectures, information systems that are supported by current version Oracle or PostgreSQL

-BA or BS degree in a technical field preferred
-DoD Manual 8570, 01–M for IAT II Certification, including CISSP


Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
