Modeling and Simulation Technical Analyst

Key Role:

Serve as a technical analyst to the director of The Defense Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Coordination Office (DMSCO) as a team member of a DoD client site effort. Apply technical expertise and analytical support and assist with the development of analytic and technical deliverables, including conducting fast-paced research, developing recommendations on technical feasibility and the operational use and application of modeling and simulation capabilities in the DoD. Lead the DoD M&S standards, including DoD, IEEE, SISO, and ISO work stream at the DMSCO and support DoD M&S working groups, including Cyber M&S WG, M&S Reference Architecture WG, DoD Standards WG, and M&S Catalog WG. Prepare, revise, and coordinate DoD M&S standards and standard-related documents, including the use of the DISR, ASSIST, and other standards management tools. Represent the DMSCO in modeling and simulation standards development organization activities, including the Simulation Interoperability Standards Organization (SISO), IEEE, and DoD standards working groups. Liaise with AT&L’s Defense Standardization Program Office (DSPO) and represent M&S in Joint Enterprise Steering Committee (JESC), IT and Intelligence Community standards, and other activities. Perform staff functions in an OSD-level senior staff environment and interact with senior DoD officials and provide support on technical research and studies related to M&S, senior-level briefings on M&S technology and standards related subjects, and DoD M&S policy and governance.

Basic Qualifications:
-7+ years of experience with technology and modeling and simulation

-Experience with supporting the DoD
-Active Secret clearance
-BS degree

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with supporting the DoD directly preferred

-Experience with the military preferred
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BS degree in Engineering or a related technical field
