Naval Active Directory Administrator

Key Role:

Provide Windows Active Directory and Group Policy administration to the Navy client for Programs of Record (POR) applications and managed IT systems within a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Maintain multiple operating systems and applications individually and as part of a team. Monitor server performance daily, communicating and reporting incident responses effectively to Navy CIO staff. Manage and improve system performance, conduct regularly scheduled vulnerability remediation, upgrades, and patching, and perform and analyze security evaluations. Troubleshoot, mitigate, and remediate system faults. Apply technical expertise in collaboration with other team members to develop requirements, identify tasking, manage progress, and recognize, report, and remediate issues representing operational risk. Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems and solutions that are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organizational objectives. This position is located on client site and is not available for remote delivery.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with system administration in Windows Active Directory and Group Policy

-Experience with Microsoft Windows 2012 R2 or 2016 servers, including installing and maintaining applications, troubleshooting, reviewing logs, and patching

-Ability to build, configure, and maintain servers within compliance standards

-Active Secret clearance

-HS diploma or GED

-Navy Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) baseline certification, including CompTIA Security+ or similar industry certification

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with system administration supporting DoD network systems, especially Navy POR systems

-Experience with scripting in Microsoft PowerShell

-Knowledge of DoD security compliance auditing, DoD hardening, RMF, STIGs, and PKI

-Knowledge of information security, including systems and network security, best practices, documentation, and user authentication

-BA or BS degree in a related field, including CS, Computer Information Systems, or Engineering

-Ability to obtain Navy Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) computing environment certification for designated Operating System within 90 days

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
