Naval Aviation Supply/Logistics Subject Matter Expert

Key Role:

Provide training and mentoring to aviation supply and aircraft maintenance personnel on a regular and recurring basis. Assist with the development of a Logistics Demand Planning Document that accurately forecasts retail allowancing and retail stock requirements, provide grooming of AVCAL and COSAL items, and project wholesale procurement requirements. Conduct data mining from historical usage and demand data, combined with collaborative input from the customer, including organizational level squadron, workflow via a tactical and strategic maintenance plan, and the use of data analytics to more accurately predict future demand. Leverage knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of supply chain management. Provide analytical support for the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure inventory quality and cost control, and adequate Supply Material Availability (SMA). Support distributions, monitor inventory, and analyze requirements to develop strategies to achieve delivery times and order fill rates. Maintain appropriate inventory records, prepare reports for product support analysis, and produce and submit regular reports, work breakdown structure (WBS), and other administrative duties to track and report progress toward program goals and coordinate logistics activities with internal and external clients.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with DoD logistics and asset accountability at both the retail, including MALS or Intermediate level and wholesale levels

-Experience with RSupply and NALCOMIS databases and functionality

-Knowledge of supply chain management, logistics processes, inventory and records management, and advanced aviation supply and demand forecasting.

-Knowledge of reliability, availability, and maintainability of assets to perform analysis and supportability calculations

-Ability to interact with clients dynamically

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with the Microsoft Office, including Excel a plus

-Experience with Microsoft Access and other database management tools

-Possession of excellent interpersonal skills

-BA or BS degree in Aviation Logistics or Aviation Operations

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
