Naval IT Project Management Analyst

Key Role:

Provide information technology project management support to the Command Information Officer (CIO) at the naval client site. Perform project management (PM) and requirements’ management functions in accordance with industry best practices. Assist Navy CIO staff as a member of a large project team responsible for the development, implementation, and sustainment of new IT systems, including monitoring and communicating project progress against established milestones to ensure the execution schedule is maintained. Perform the day-to-day management support of assigned projects that involve teams of analysts, network engineers, software developers, and other project management professionals collectively involved in analyzing, designing, integrating, training, testing, documenting, implementing, and maintaining complex information technology systems during their life cycle. Apply project management expertise in collaboration with other team members to develop requirements, identify tasking, manage progress, including recognizing and reporting issues representing schedule risk, providing suggestions to improve project execution and completing project deliverables on behalf of government staff. Provide software license management and sustainment for the team, including hardware acquisitions. Organize, direct, and coordinate the planning and production of all activities associated with assigned projects, including configuration management, change management, and resource coordination, including maintaining responsibilities for supporting meeting agendas, meeting minutes, meeting briefs, and writing and editing project documentation in accordance with DoD, Navy, and client-specific direction.

Basic Qualifications:

-2 years of experience with project management

-Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or Accounting

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) projects

-Experience in drafting, reviewing, and editing technical graphics, documents, and briefings

-Experience in technical or managerial supporting DoD network infrastructure projects

-Experience with Navy network, including the NETC training network and the Navy client

-Experience with IT process analysis and process improvement

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skill

-Possession of excellent critical thinking skills

-Project Management Institute (PMI), Security+, or ITIL Certification
