Naval Linux Administrator

Key Role:

Provide IT support to the Command Information Officer (CIO) at the Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) in Pensacola, FL. Maintain responsibility for supporting and updating the HBSS environment, specifications, installation, testing, technical support, maintenance, system documentation, testing, performance reporting, and life cycle reporting. Support design implementation plans, create documentation, and provide operational support of the McAfee HBSS product suite to ensure full function in multiple environments. Assist the client support teams with the integration, implementation, and work with the HBSS Suite within NETC’s TRANET environments.

Basic Qualifications:

-2 years of experience with Host Based Security System

-Experience in problem solving, software, systems, business processes, Cybersecurity, network, hardware installation, network management, enterprise communications, information assurance, system administration, data standardization

-Secret clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in supporting DoD network systems, including Navy POR systems and System administration

-Experience with scripting in Microsoft PowerShell

-Knowledge of DoD security compliance auditing, DoD hardening, RMF, STIGs, and PKI

-Knowledge of information security, including systems and network security, best practices, documentation, and user authentication

-BA or BS degree in CS, Computer Information Systems, or Engineering

-Ability to obtain Navy Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) computing environment Certification for designated Operating System within 90 days
