Network and Test Engineer

Key Role:

Apply expertise in both IP networking and testing to maintain reliable, secure, and efficient data communications networks to support world-wide mission and operations support networks. Test networks and direct or participate in all phases of risk management assessments and software or hardware development with an emphasis on analysis of user requirements, test design, and test tools selection. Analyze local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, and selecting operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices. Resolve interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms, including e-mail, file transfer, multimedia, and teleconferencing. Manage various operating systems that may include Windows servers or clients and one or more versions of UNIX across both LAN and WAN. Define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret developmental tests for new or modified products or product components, investigate and resolve operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel, and provide technical support and advice to other engineering groups. Participate in the development, maintenance, and refinement of internal quality control and reliability programs. 

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with testing for the support of user requirements, including complex to highly complex software and hardware applications

-Ability to configure, maintain, and monitor all active network equipment

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

-8570 Certification
