Network Configuration Subject Matter Expert

Key Role:

Analyze and implement network engineering plans and wide-scale networks for customers. Monitor all activities of the network facilities, and ensure high quality data transmission. Provide technical support for all customer interaction situations, including receipt of specifications, design, test, and response to service requests. Debug and test networks, plan projects, and perform needs assessments, prepare or oversee cost or benefit estimates, presentations, negotiations, installations, problem resolutions, and multi-vendor product integration. Provide initial implementation support of networks to ensure proper execution, and provide resolution for system failures or degradations, including provide project management and documentation, as required. Apply the limited use or application of basic principles, theories, and concepts, including develop resolutions to problems of limited scope.

Basic Qualifications:

-8 years of experience as a network architect with design and architecture of the DoDIN-A network for tactical and enterprise

-5 years of experience with network security methodologies, including current and future DoDIN-A security stacks

-3 years of experience with Cloud service provider, and network connectivity architecture for various Cloud service providers

-Experience with centralized authentication and authorization systems, including Microsoft Active Directory

-Experience with the various Army tactical communication systems, and how they connect into DoDIN-A

-Experience with developing network architecture diagrams that can communicate a proposed solution clearly

-Experience with Operational Needs Statements (ONS), and Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS)

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Cisco Certified architect or equivalent network architecture and design certification, preferred

-Security + Certification, preferred
