Network Cost Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Apply networking and IT knowledge to translate technical requirements into network mapping and support the development of comprehensive cost models for the planning, design, and implementation of enterprise IT networks. Assess stakeholder needs, IT services, and design requirements for optimization of network architecture components of cost modeling efforts. Conduct cost feasibility studies for large networks and develop recommendations.


Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with network design, implementation, or operations, including the deployment of upgrades or new capabilities

-Knowledge of DoD or DON enterprise IT network infrastructure and services

-Knowledge of cost estimates

-Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

-Active Secret clearance

-AA or AS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with designing DoD or DON IT enterprise networks

-Knowledge of routing and switching, server architecture, and virtualization

-Ability to develop cost models in Microsoft Excel

-BS degree in Engineering, CS, or a related technical field

-CCNA, MCSA, VCP, or other IT Certification


Clearance:
