Network Design Engineer

Key Role:

Define organic network design and implementation. Test and field spiral developments of remote network control of mission equipment. Interact with technical team members from multiple organizations in a team environment. Produce engineering level documentation to enable system testing and fielding.

Basic Qualifications:

-3 years of experience with IT or networking systems

-Experience with programming

-Experience with Windows and Linux servers and various router or switch technologies

-Knowledge of one or more of the following: physical security requirements, digital signal processing, satellite communications, and software development practices

-Ability to build and maintain virtual machines

-Ability to communicate technical approaches and details within small project teams, including team interaction and presentations

-Ability to capture technical approaches, designs, block diagrams, algorithms, and implementations in written and graphical forms

-Ability to travel overnight up to 20% of the time

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or EE

Additional Qualifications:

-6 years of experience with IT or networking systems

-3 years of experience with developmental or engineering testing

-Experience with Linux embedded systems, driver design, module creation, and interaction with git repositories

-Experience with Wireshark

-Experience with military and commercial communication backbones

-Knowledge of Risk Management Framework

-Knowledge of 7-layer OSI model

-Knowledge of the spiral development process

-Ability to comprehend low level network stacks

-MA or MS degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or EE
