Network Engineer, Junior

Key Role:

Design and document IP network solutions to meet end user requirements and integrate with existing enterprise infrastructure. Work with project team members to comprehend existing and emerging requirements and drive network designs, assist with vendor product analysis, and evaluate the suitability of products for meeting system requirements. Define and document design details for systems under development, including network addressing, network protocols, network interfaces, and security features. Maintain shared responsibility for a lab-based test environment as part of a team of engineers, ensuring continuous operations and support high quality documentation, including describing system design and functionality. Maintain the accuracy of detailed network diagrams and communicate progress regularly and participate in recurring project meetings with internal team and government clients.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience as network engineer or system administrator

-Knowledge of basic and industry standard IP network topologies

-Ability to support minimal travel to support test events and other work activities, as needed

-Ability to document, edit, and maintain technical information related to network systems documentation

-Ability to obtain security clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of existing DoD network services or network implementations

-Knowledge of Cisco and Juniper hardware

-Possession of excellent comprehension and technical writing skills

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

-CCNA or equivalent professional certifications
