Network Engineer, Lead

Key Role:
Provide network engineering support to design, implement, and verify network infrastructure equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls for a mission critical Command and Control system for the US Navy. Lead the development of design artifacts, including drawings, specifications, and Bill of Materials for complex communications systems, including design, operational, and technical requirements, network engineering, and information assurance. Identify and develop system specifications, performance requirements, and interface design requirements. Serve as the primary author for major deliverables, including system requirements specifications, system design documents, equipment specifications, system test plans, and test reports. Direct multiple engineering activities and lead the configuration of network equipment during all phases of implementation. Act as the primary point of contact with the client for project execution, provide support at briefings and design reviews, and work independently in a multi–tasking environment.

Basic Qualifications:
-7+ years of experience with network design, configuration, verification, and troubleshooting experience in working with Cisco and other vendors' network equipment
-Experience with supporting network systems
-Active Top Secret clearance
-BS degree

Additional Qualifications:
-7+ years of experience with data communications network technologies
-5+ years of experience with using IP routing protocols, including IPv6 support for OSPF, RIPv2, and BGP
-5+ years of experience with using LAN switching technologies, including a spanning tree protocol
-1-2 years of experience with military and commercial satellite communications systems and network engineering
-1-2 years of experience with network security countermeasures, including firewalls, access control lists, intrusion detection, and encryption devices
-BS degree in EE, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
-Current Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certification or higher

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
