Network Engineer, Mid

Key Role:
Provide network engineering support for the configuration, maintenance, and operations of production for VPN remote access gateways, including route, switch, and firewall configurations, IPSec and SSL VPN troubleshooting, and researching of LAN and WAN technologies and corresponding documentation. Diagnose network-based problems and factors affecting network performance. Maintain a shared responsibility of a lab-based test environment as part of a team of engineers, including ensuring continuous operations.
Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with Cisco network switches, routers, and firewalls, including ASA or PIX platforms
-Experience with Juniper switches and routers
-Experience with configuring and troubleshooting SSL and IPSec VPNs
-Experience in analyzing network traffic and deploying security event management and diagnostic tools, including Nessus, Splunk, SolarWinds Orion, Sourcefire, HBSS, Wireshark, and full-packet capture solutions
-Ability to depict network diagrams accurately using Microsoft Visio and operate in a Microsoft Windows-based lab environment
-Ability to communicate complex network principles and designs to clients
-Active Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree
 -DoD 8570 Approved Certification for IAT Level II, including Security+

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with mobile devices, including Apple iOS and Android
-Experience with Windows Server technologies, including AD, DNS, and DHCP
-Experience with using VMware vSphere or Vcenter
-Experience with network monitoring protocols, including SNMP, Netflow, Network, and RMON
-Experience with working in coordination with the commercial mobile industry to assess mobile technologies for the U.S government
-Experience with implementing certificate–based encryption on network devices
-Active Secret clearance
-CCENT, CCNA, or JNCIA Certification
