Network Engineer, Senior

Key Role:
Design, plan, install, integrate, and maintain backbone core-area tactical and strategic communications networks. Gather a Mission Needs Statements Initial Capabilities Document (MNSICD), Operational Requirements Capability Development Documents (ORCDDs), and Capability Production Documents (CPDs) for the Army’s tactical communications systems and translate requirements into technical solutions that are standards-based and cost efficient. Develop network architecture for adjacent, higher, and lower units and allied nations, other government agencies, and commercial service interfaces. Leverage knowledge of current and future Force tactical and strategic military communications networks and the architecture, protocols, security, network management, and physics underlying these systems. Maintain responsibility for the engineering design, development, integration, installation, operation, and maintenance of the WIN-T INC 1 network.

Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with technical tasks for the integration of data, voice, video, and telephony in the WIN-T INC 1 network, engineering and technical documentation and analysis of the development of technical requirements, specifications, plans and reports, software or hardware engineering, preparation of independent assessments, systems engineering, technical expertise in fielding locations, test and evaluation, architectural or interoperability support, and quality engineering
-Knowledge of Cisco products, including routers, switches, and firewalls
-Knowledge of Converged Ethernet over IP (EoIP) network and virtualization or storage technologies from VMware, EMC, NetApp, Microsoft, Dell, HP, and equivalent
-Ability to support technology insertion testing relative to emerging WIN-T INC 1 networks requirements and capabilities
-Secret clearance
-HS diploma or GED
-Active Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) Certification or higher


Additional Qualifications:

-BA or BS degree in Engineering

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
