Network Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Serve as a senior network engineer for the directorate for Science and Technology (ST). Install, configure, and maintain client computing infrastructure, including switches, routers, and Cisco ASAs in a Special Access Program (SAP) IT environment at a global enterprise level. Plan and conduct installations, transitions, conversions, and cut-overs of network components and capabilities. Analyze network characteristics, including traffic, connect time, transmission speeds, packet sizes, and throughput, troubleshoot problems, and recommend procurement, removals, and modifications to network components. Conduct network and security assessments to troubleshoot and optimize network performance and design.

Basic Qualifications:

-6 years of experience with network engineering

-Experience with the intelligence community

-Knowledge of TCP/IP concepts, IPSEC, and switching and routing protocols

-Ability to handle complex multi-site network troubleshooting, multi-layered switch environment, and VPN technologies successfully and implement network monitoring

-TS/SCI clearance

-HS diploma or GED

-Security+ or other IAT Level II certification within the first 6 months of hire required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Special Access Programs (SAPs), system administration, and system design and development

-Knowledge of Windows Enterprise AD architecture, VMware Virtualization, and ICD 503 system accreditation

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

-BA or BS degree

-CCIE and CISSP certification
