Network Engineer, Senior

Key Role:
Apply advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the engineering, security, application, and development of local and wide area transport networks. Provide cross-functional technical documentation and specifications, including network design, security requirements, configuration, and TTPs. Analyze existing network infrastructures, security solutions, and requirements to provide integration support through the design and development of AISR transport architectures at a highly technical level. Assess existing AISR sensor data transport architectures and provide recommendations and secure integration approaches for emerging Enterprise AISR transport, infrastructure, and NetOps technologies. Apply knowledge of governance requirements and risk mitigation strategies to establish secure solutions. Leverage knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) to obtain network system accreditations.

Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with Cisco or Juniper network hardware and capabilities
-Experience with network design planning, roadmap development, and solution implementation for communications programs
-Knowledge of routing protocols, including RIP, EIGRP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and Multicast
-Ability to assess the organizational risks associated with security threats and recommend mitigation strategies
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-CCENT or CCNA Certification

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with network monitoring protocols, including SNMP, Netflow, and RMON
-Experience with using security-related tools
-Knowledge of SATCOM technologies, including Wideband, IP modems, and ISR
-Knowledge of DoD information assurance policies, directives, and STIGs for communication systems
-TS/SCI clearance
-BA or BS degree preferred
-Cisco, Juniper, INCOSE, or Network Certification preferred
-Security+ Certification
