Network Engineer

Key Role: 
Support technical tasks for the integration of data, voice, video, and telephony in an Army client’s network, engineering, and technical documentation and assist with the development of technical requirements, specifications, plans and reports, software or hardware engineering, preparation of independent assessments, and systems engineering, including leveraging technical expertise in fielding locations, test and evaluation, architectural or interoperability support, and quality engineering. Design, plan, install, integrate, and maintain backbone core-area tactical and strategic communications networks. Develop network architecture for adjacent, higher, and lower units and allied nations, other government agencies, and commercial service interfaces.

Basic Qualifications:
-8+ years of experience with Army communications networks
-Knowledge of current and future Force tactical and strategic military communications networks and the architecture, protocols, security, network management, and physics underlying these systems
-Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
-Ability to travel 50% of the time
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree in Engineering or CS or 12+ years of experience with supporting DoD programs as a network engineer

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with network-centric waveform preferred
-Knowledge of Army tactical networks
-Knowledge of satellite communications, including FDMA and MF-TDMA
-Knowledge of routing architectures and concepts, including DMVPN, ZBF, QoS, and WCCP
-Knowledge of inline network encryptor devices, including KG-175-D, KIV-19, KG-250X, and KIV-7
-Knowledge of network management software, including GD NMS, Solarwinds, and CodeMettle
-Knowledge of Active Directory, Radius, and other Windows server-based functions
-Knowledge of Riverbed Steelhead
-Knowledge of DoD STIGs to be implemented into tactical network architecture

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
