Network Specialist/Security FireEye Engineer

Key Role:

Plan, implement, upgrade, or monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and information. Ensure appropriate security controls to safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure are in place. Respond to computer security breaches and viruses, as needed. Leverage a Security Information and Event Manager (SIEM) system leveraging Splunk, McAfee Nitro, or LogRythm. Support network defense system implementation, installation, and configuration for installations and forces operating in deployed environments. Maintain a network defense test environment to evaluate new applications, signatures, rules, filter, and configurations of managed network defenses systems. Follow RMF, DoDDI 8500 Cybersecurity series, and Common Criteria bodies of knowledge.

Basic Qualifications:

-6 years of experience with designing and developing organizational information systems or upgrading legacy systems

-2 years of experience with major defense acquisition programs

-2 years of experience with vulnerability assessment or risk analysis

-1 year of experience in a team leader or supervisor role

-Ability to employ best practices when implementing security controls within an information system, including software engineering methodologies, system and security engineering principles, secure design, secure architecture, and secure coding techniques

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree in CS, Engineering, or IT

-Level III Security Provision Category Certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with the Air Force or other DoD clients

-Ability to be a self-starter, multitask in a fast-paced environment, and prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision

-Possession of excellent team-oriented, team building, presentation, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Completion of the Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program or ability to complete
