Network Systems Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Analyze the design and development of complex voice, data, and multi-media communications network solutions and employ expertise in voice and data transport facilities, protocols, operating systems, and standards and regulations for public and private data networks. Project usage and required capacities based on analyses of existing and emerging products and services. Locate, evaluate, and specify products, services, and vendors. Work with vendors to evaluate new products and resolve equipment design problems. Prepare reports to inform and advise senior technical staff and management, as necessary. Provide innovative solutions to complex functional problems that impact the function's success and lead tasks, including planning, execution, staff oversight, and status reporting for significant initiatives. Bring industry-level expertise to the function and recommend changes to remain up-to-date or competitive.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with network engineering and development for DoD programs

-Experience with large enterprise networks

-Knowledge of network security architecture

-Active Secret clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with working in an Agile environment

-Experience with practicing Models-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

-Experience with supporting a government system program office in the acquisition of large space systems within the DoD or government

-Knowledge of Cybersecurity principles

-Ability to be highly motivated and display a dynamic work ethic, including contributing to the DoD mission

-Active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance

-Network+, CCNA, or CCNP Certification preferred

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
