Office Management Consultant

Key Role:

Provide professional business office management and executive assistant support to a government research and development client in a fast-paced environment. Support the travel team with reservations and other documents required to simplify travel. Provide administrative-level program and project office support, including analysis, report writing, action tracking, and other administrative functions, such as videoconferencing setup. Develop and update program documents and expenditure reports and organize and maintain electronic records. Communicate with the organization on announcement or administrative data calls effectively, prepare and process various forms, and prepare briefings. Use technology-driven approaches to ongoing work processes and work independently, cooperatively, and collaboratively with various levels of staff. Apply judgment and organizational, critical thinking, time management, interpersonal communication, and customer service expertise, and coordinate arrangements and activities for executive travel, lodging, and meals. This position is open to minimal situational or irregular telework rather than full-time remote work and is located on the client site in Washington, DC.

Basic Qualifications:

-1+ years of experience with preparing and overseeing travel arrangements, including preparing or refining itineraries, overseeing the preparation of travel orders, securing reservations and tickets, verifying that passports and visas are in order, and monitoring travel activities and issues

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

-Experience with arranging for meetings, conferences, and video-teleconferencing

-Experience with executive scheduling using Microsoft Outlook 

-Ability to edit and perform quality control of reports, presentations, directives, correspondence, and other documents

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

-Experience in a client environment a plus

-Experience with federal travel systems or regulations a plus

-Ability to exhibit flexibility and adaptability and work in a collaborative team environment
-Ability to be proactive and outgoing a plus

-Possession of excellent client service skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
