Ontology Specialist

Key Role:
View data and data management from an enterprise architecture standpoint and translate business-oriented information requirements into technical data management solutions by developing and implementing enterprise data strategies for the management and sharing of data that enables more effective cross-enterprise and inter-enterprise system interoperability. Ensure enterprise data assets are governed by a comprehensive data management approach. Apply expertise in database design, data modeling, data integration, modern data implementations, Big Data tools, and data exchange standards.

Basic Qualifications: 
-Experience with languages that include Python, R or other statistics tools, such as SAS and SPSS, SQL or relational database technologies, eXtensible Markup Language (XML), and working on and building graphs
-Experience with OWL, RDF, and the difference between Graph DB-Based triple structures and semantic triples
-Experience with constructing semantic graphs, including reasons for the methodologies and strategies used
-Experience with application or prototype examples of using triple stores and using triple-formatted data in conjunction with other data types
-Experience with graph query languages, including Cypher and SPARQL
-Experience with sematic tagging and semantic alignment between data sets
-Knowledge of data engineering, connecting to remote data sets, including RESTful APIs,  and variations of different triple serialization types
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree in CS, Engineering, Semantics, or Ontology

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience in working and collaborating with machine learning or natural language processing experts
-Experience with machine learning or natural language processing practices and vocabulary
-Ability to network and graph expertise in science
-MA or MS degree in Semantics or Ontology preferred; PhD in Semantics or Ontology a plus
