Open Source Intelligence/Social Media Analyst

Key Role:

Work as an intelligence analyst using open source and all source research techniques, including social media usage to provide intelligence analysis support to a Combatant Command. Produce written analyses and present oral briefings pertaining to the area of interest, including threat actors and logistical support networks to inform senior policymakers. Consult on opportunities for open source integration into ongoing client all-source assessments and intelligence production, including the areas of Indications and Warning (I&W), media monitoring, and information operations assessments for client priorities. Work in a fast-paced, challenging environment and dive into areas of client interest to rigorously evaluate networks and discover online trends. Lead analytic projects and provide work leadership to junior team members. 


Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience with national or theatre all-source or open source intelligence analysis

- Experience with IC research tools and databases
-Experience with writing clear and concise intelligence products and producing deliverables in a short time frame using Microsoft Office
-Ability to learn a range of analytic topic areas quickly , including geopolitical dynamics
-Ability to work shift or surge hours to meet mission requirements
-Ability to travel 25% of the time

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with social media analysis
-Knowledge of DoD and IC classification guidance

-Knowledge of Internet-based research, including Boolean logic, search engines, database resources, and Internet sources, such as social media, social networking tools, and commercial and industry-based databases

-Knowledge of the EUCOM area of operations and combatant command structures
-Knowledge of DoD and IC tradecraft as it applies to open source (OS) and social media (SM)
-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
-MA or MS degree
-Completion of one or more open search and social media research and analysis courses or completion of privately sponsored courses, including Cyber Advanced Support Operations (CASO), Cyberspace Open Source Methods and Operations (COSMO), or open source intelligence techniques


Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
