Operational Logistics Planner

Key Role:

Plan logistics aspects of Operation Plans (OPLANs), Concept Plans (CONPLANs), and other contingency plans using the seven steps of the Navy Planning Process (NPP), including Mission Analysis and Course of Action (COA). Support other formalized Joint or service planning processes, including JOPP, MDMP, MCPP, and R2P2 as situations dictate. Evaluate logistics feasibility of strategic and theater plans of higher headquarters and of other component, Joint, and coalition partners. Develop, analyze, and compare logistic support options for each COA developed by the planning teams as an integral member of Operational Planning Teams (OPTs). Ensure the commander's intent, guidance, and mission effects are logistically supportable. Prepare and update the Logistics Staff Estimate and the Concept of Logistics Support. Oversee the development of the logistics annex and other appropriate sections of formal orders, when required.

Basic Qualifications:

-15+ years of experience with operational logistics planning

-Experience with using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project

-Ability to multi-task and pay strict attention to detail ​

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree
