Operational Medicine Communications and Business Analyst

Key Role:
Provide programmatic expertise supporting the management of an acquisition category (ACAT) I major automated information system (MAIS) program for a DoD electronic health record (EHR) system. Prepare high-level governance and program briefings used by the program manager and program executive office (PEO) to brief stakeholder and senior acquisition and DoD health client’s officials on program status. Assist the program manager with building support for the program and monitoring reactions and perception to help or impede progress, and assist with identifying key engagements or opportunities to benefit the program’s mission. Maintain responsibility for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable DoD regulatory requirements, including conducting audits and reviewing, analyzing data and documentation. Perform a variety of tasks, and leverage expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.


Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience working in a program management office (PMO) or program executive office (PEO)

-Experience in preparing high-level governance and program briefings used by the program manager and PEO to brief stakeholder and senior acquisition and DoD health client’s officials on program status

-Experience with stakeholder management activities and outreach

-Experience with Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

-Experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within program and project management, business case reports, risks, and issues

-Ability to develop and present senior level briefings on behalf of senior leadership and help shape strategic communications

-Ability to travel as needed, up to 25%

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree and 10+ years of experience working in a professional environment


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with a DoD health client

-Experience working in a DoD ACAT IAM or Defense business system IT program office, preferred

-Possession of excellent documentation skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
