Operations and Business Process Improvement Training Consultant

Key Role:

Work under the direction of the director of operations and process improvement to provide systems and process training to all levels of staff and management within a large healthcare system on policies, standardized processes or workflows, process improvement initiatives, and best practices across administrative, laboratory, and medical practices and monitor ongoing compliance. Organize, plan, and execute training activities, including new-hire training, training to field groups, and leadership training. Develop, introduce, and facilitate materials for use in system and operations training, process improvement, and standardization. Work with client personnel, including senior officers and subject matter experts to lead change management efforts, including process redesign for enterprise application and implementation. Build and deliver program management metrics to measure training effectiveness. Maintain responsibility for assigned project tasks while providing clients with consulting on newly designed programs and associated business processes or procedures. Develop conclusions and strategic recommendations, write reports, and present findings and results to clients.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with consulting for or working in a professional or military environment in a training or training development capacity

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Visio, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Projects, and facilitating training, meetings, and working groups for client executives and personnel

-Experience with the design and delivery of process improvement training

-Experience with training on reporting and metrics and executing training tasks or assignments on short notice
-Ability to travel 25% of the time

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree
-Change Management Industry Certifications, including PROSCI
-Completion of ISD and process improvement methodology training, including Lean Six Sigma

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with consulting in the federal government or DoD healthcare field

-Experience with process improvement, change management, organization design and transformation of human resource or payroll functions in the healthcare industry
-Ability to support the translation of the client's requirements into training, development, and presentation of training via process improvement programs, addressing successes and challenges through various presentations, and other forums

-Ability to review operational and dashboard metrics for benchmarking or comparison among process improvement best practices to identify areas that need focused attention and education to enhance performance and outcomes

-BA or BS degree in Business, Management, Economics, or Industrial Engineering
