Operations Lead

Key Role:
Serve as an Action Officer for the Network Cross Functional Team (CFT) and develop, analyze, and evaluate projects' development, progress, and performance. Provide the government lead (GL) with periodic reviews that include appropriate analyzed information to determine the status of projects and major milestones, ensure coordination of orderly phasing of all actions and cost, schedule, and performance risks, identify alternative risk mitigation approaches, and ascertain appropriate action required to maintain or improve project schedules. Support cost, schedule, performance, life cycle support, and scheduling management with appropriate reviews and present all critical project documents. Perform a limited range of administrative duties and provide guidance to program offices while supporting the project to ensure proper balance consistent with requirements and available resources. Support the GL at conferences and panels composed of key civilian, military, and industrial personnel to render decisions and coordinate, advise, and participate in developing broad courses of action. Serve on WIPTs, panels, boards, and committees to support the GL in a course of action for acquisition or programmatic matters. Develop acquisition support documentation in accordance with DoD 500 guidance. This position is located in Aberdeen Proving Ground.

Basic Qualifications:
-8+ years of experience in a technical IT operations role
-Experience with Microsoft Office
-Experience with DAU Level 2 program management or equivalent journeyman work
-Experience with Defense Systems Acquisition programs required
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree or 12+ years of experience in a professional DoD environment

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience in a software or IT acquisition program management office
-Knowledge of Army staffing procedures
-Ability to comprehend complex technical and procedural issues and offer insight and recommendations both orally and in writing
-Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
-Possession of excellent planning and organizational skills, including performing a variety of different tasks in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment concurrently
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
