Operations/Mission Analyst

Key Role:

Join the Air Force Mission Assurance Team on the Headquarters Air Force staff. Serve as a USAF Headquarters-level program analyst providing support in implementing processes and procedures to identify, assess, and reduce risk to critical capabilities and assets, systems, and infrastructure essential to the operation of DoD and Air Force missions. Participate in certain pre-site survey and mission assurance assessments visits to validate asset data, determine critically, and obtain information, as necessary. Perform a broad range of qualitative and quantitative analyses of information IAW USAF CARM and Mission Assurance program policies. Provide oversight and apply expertise in supporting mission assurance activities related to the identification, assessment, and management of mission critical capabilities and assets, systems, and infrastructure. Analyze new mission requirements in the form of performance standards and conditions, including those found in Air Force Universal Task List (AFUTL) and Universal Joint Task List (UJTL) and develop reports that provide recommendations. Prepare critical reports and brief the mission assurance assessment team and senior leaders, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with data analytics and intelligence

-Experience as a Higher Headquarters Staff Officer in DoD

-Experience in one or more DoD Mission Assurance programs and activities

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-BS degree in Statistics, Quantitative Measurement, CS, Operations Research, or Analytics

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with specific Mission Assurance programs and activities, including Defense Critical Infrastructure (DCI) and Continuity of Operations (COOP)

-Knowledge of at least two of the following: Air Force Space and Missile Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems, Nuclear Surety and Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) systems, or Cyber Systems and Communications Networks required for mission survivability, resiliency, and swift recovery missions sufficient to determine the validity of a critical asset designation IAW DoD standards

-MA or MS degree in Business, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or other analysis-related fields preferred

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
