Operations Officer

Key Role:

Assist government procurement agencies with defining proposals, including RFPs and qualifying vendors. Apply knowledge of the defense acquisition process to support customers in the analysis and improvement of acquisition processes, policies, and procedures. Devise innovative strategies for deploying and implementing new acquisition policy initiatives and measure the effectiveness of implementation. Use quantitative analytical techniques to assess system acquisition process issues and develop risk reduction or mitigation approaches for improving acquisition or program planning, control, and execution.

Basic Qualifications:

-7+ years of experience with coordinating the management of complex DoD engineering or technical programs, including planning, organizing, performing, supervising, tracking, and reporting on complex programs

-Experience with providing program information, analysis, and recommendations to leadership for program actions and decisions

-Experience with developing a battle rhythm of activities, including managing calendars and coordinating recurring staff meetings

-Ability to prepare, review, staff, transmit, and store agendas, briefings, papers, tasks, minutes, and action items on government–owned systems electronically

-Ability to prepare required presentation materials for onsite and off–site events

-Ability to interface and coordinate with higher level staff
-Secret clearance required

-BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

-BA or BS degree in Engineering, Business, Management, Logistics, Quality, Production, or a related field preferred
