Operations Planner

Key Role:

Support the integration of space and Cyber capabilities into Combatant Command Operations Plans (OPLANS) or Contingency Plans (CONPLANs) and service level Concepts of Operation (CONOPs) actively. Support the space and Cyber planning team leadership with operational experience and function as a subject matter expert on integrating these capabilities with Combatant Commands and Services. Provide Joint Planning at the operational and strategic level. Support operations in Colorado Springs, CO with travel to both US Pacific Command (USPACOM) and US European Command (USEUCOM). 

Basic Qualifications:

-10 years of experience with planning combined arms operations

-Experience with integrating capabilities across geographic and functional Combatant Commands

-Experience with planning and synchronizing lethal and non-lethal effects into operational and strategic level plans

-Ability to instruct active duty officers and NCOs in the detailed art of Joint Planning with a focus on both contingency and crisis planning

-Ability to assist with the development of exercises which stress an operational level staff’s ability to plan and execute complex, multi-domain military operations on compressed timelines

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Pacific Commands, including USPACOM, US Pacific Fleet (USPACFLT), US Pacific Forces Air Force (USPACAF), US Army Pacific (USARPAC), and Marine Forces Pacific (MARFORPAC)

-Experience with European Commands, including US Army Europe (USAREUR), US Air Forces Europe (USAFE), Naval Forces Europe (NAVEUR), and Marine Forces Europe (MARFOREUR)

-Experience with the Special Access Program or integrated joint operations planning at the operational and strategic levels

-Experience with joint planning at the operational and strategic levels

-Experience with the planning and synchronization of battlefield effects required to achieve the commander’s intent

-Experience with planning the integration of kinetic and non-kinetic effects across Geographic and functional Combatant Commands in support of major combat operations

-Experience with conducting joint planning in support of Combatant Command OPLANs and CONPLANs

-Experience with planning operations at the Strategic Level of War and Operational Level of War

-Knowledge of Joint Publication 5-0 Joint Planning and Joint Publication 3-0 Joint Operations

-Ability to integrate newly developed, multi-domain capabilities with Combatant Commands and Services

-BS degree in Engineering
