Oracle Database Administrator, Mid

Key Role:
Provide technical support for DoD employees needing IT assistance or services on legacy networks. Provide day-to-day database administration support and maintenance tasks. Troubleshoot and fix data issues and user issues or application issues by coordinating with end-users, DBAs, and server administrators. Develop and maintain comprehension of the database architecture and the general application functionality to maintain data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Manage and perform routine and regularly-scheduled processes. Provide guidance to application users, testers, developers, and other team members for understanding functionality, scalability, performance, security, and integration requirements from the database perspective. This position is located in Bremerton, WA.


Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with using Oracle 10g, 11g, or 12g

-2+ years of experience with using UNIX

-Experience with working in a professional environment

-Ability to become SECNAV M-5239.2 Cybersecurity Workforce-compliant within 6 months of hire date

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-HS diploma or GED

-CompTIA Security+ or Information Assurance Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire date


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with using Oracle tools, including Toad, Golden Gate, and Data Guard

-Experience with working in a government environment a plus

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Secret clearance preferred

-BA or BS degree in CS, Information Systems Management, or a related technical field

-Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) Certification
