Oracle Database Administrator

Key Role:

Manage the integrity, security, and availability of multiple Oracle 11g databases and Oracle E-Business Suite R12 and BPEL instances. Provide disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and data monitoring. Apply experience with Oracle 11gR2 and RAC, including including build, general administration, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning. Administer, maintain, analyze, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database. Assist with translating systems and subsystems designs and detailed designs into database structures. Provide advice on differing database designs and access methods in problem resolutions, design, and development situations. Perform database and software life cycle activities to ensure the highest level of system performance and availability and compliance with business requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA
-4+ years of experience with troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, connectivity issues, and security issues

-4+ years of experience with creating and executing complex database SQL queries and PL/SQL code

-3+ years of experience with Oracle database installations on Linux
-3+ years of experience with Oracle backups, restores, recovery models, DBCC commands, Oracle clustering, including RAC, database mirroring, and database replication
-Experience with performing Oracle database and application server administration

-Ability to organize and format data for efficient query and storage processes
-Public Trust clearance

-BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Oracle, Red Hat Linux, or any UNIX platforms' commands and utilities

-Experience with operating across multiple tasks, working independently, and contributing to deliverables and performance metrics

-Experience with installing, configuring and managing Oracle Application Server, Tomcat Application Server, Informatica, and other third party tools
-Knowledge of applications and application server technologies that work with databases
