Payload Development Lead

Key Role:

Conduct a variety of engineering tasks for the development, operation, and maintenance of complex technology systems. Ensure the integration of processes and methodologies for total system performance. Apply knowledge of a variety of technical disciplines, including electronics, software, mathematical, and scientific specialties. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts to job assignments and contribute to the advancement of industry knowledge in the area of expertise. Solve complex technical problems, of critical importance to the organization's technical direction. Work to be recognized as an expert in the field, leading development and implementation of key technologies for the organization.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with S&T systems engineering for TRL 6 or lower complex weapon systems

-Experience with SE tools, including Doors and Magic Draw

-Experience with leading a mix of engineers, scientists, and technicians to conduct design, construction, test, and analysis on payloads that will integrate onto military platforms
-Experience with mechanical design and analysis and developing and presenting technical briefs

-Experience with DoD 5000 series processes for system acquisitions, including Systems Engineering Plans (SEPs), Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs), System Certification processes, and specialty engineering activities

-Knowledge of electromagnetics and directed energy

-Ability to effectively operate independently, work with others in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and to communicate to a variety of audiences effectively both orally and in writing

-Active Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics

-DAWIA SPRDE Level III Certification

Additional Qualifications:

-MA or MS degree preferred
