Peer Network Coordinator

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for advising on the development of broad and comprehensive policies and procedural reviews of region-wide and component-wide community and peer mentoring programs, including evaluate efficacy, and provide recommendations for improvement. Work with Echelon III Commands to assess needs, evaluate efficacy, and implement programs, serve in an advisory role for planning, executing, and continuously improving peer mentorship programs, including collaborate with operations officers, Command leadership, and family support coordinators to comprehend component needs and resource availability and constraints to facilitate program execution. Coordinate with service representatives, multidisciplinary professional staff, and other service providers within the Services, DoD, and civilian sector to align programs with other existing programs, including evaluate usage, and obtain input for areas of improvement. Assist with the training of peer mentors, travel to other component locations to meet with new volunteers and staff and the Commands client support, and provide consultation and training to CPPNCs throughout the component Commands. Serve as a communication link between multiple component levels of CPPNs and Operations Command HQ, and work with regional, component, and Command CPPNCs to aggregate, including prepare formal reports using input from all CPPNCs and Command leadership to provide force-wide and regional programmatic feedback. Coordinate with a variety of Service, DoD, and civilian programs, including installation family and social service agencies, chaplains, benevolent and charitable organizations and others, and provide force-wide and region-wide training and consultation.


Basic Qualifications:

-Ability to work evenings and weekends

-Ability to travel 15% of the time

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree in Education or Human or Social Services or 4 years of experience with providing social service education or family life consultation or coordination services in lieu of a degree

-Secret clearance
